Welcome to the Real World, President-Elect Obama

Alas, not even Barack Hussein Obama can fulfill all the promises he made, which sets the stage for a world-class letdown.

Axelrod, the genius behind the Obama phenomenon, knows that after the elections, the triumph of the myth inevitably augured the demise of the myth. He must now transform Obama into a politician who will have to get his hands dirty. He must allow the intoxication of the myth to dissipate, without betraying the trust of the voter. Never has such a transformation been achieved without damage. That intoxication is ideal fuel for a revolution, but this would be unimaginable in today’s America. When they sober up from their intoxication, the faithful will be livid — and in two year’s time Congress will likely slip out of Obama’s grip.

In other words, enjoy the next two years, Barack. Because after that you’ll probably have a GOP Congress to deal with, and after the way you attacked Republicans this year, they probably won’t be too interested in helping you win re-election.

Reality is like that, sometimes… as you sow, so shall you reap.

  1. You can try to fool all of the people for all of your Presidency (or at least the ones who support(ed) you), President-elect Barack, but you will not fool them for long.

I hope your experimentations last only a very few days. If not, you’ll find that 52% support you HAD will be lower with each passing hour.
