77% Believe Jesus Rose From The Dead

An Easter poll that should raise your spirits (no pun intended) if you’re a Christian:

This Easter weekend, Americans’ belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ remains strong.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 86% of American Adults believe the person known to history as Jesus Christ walked the Earth 2,000 years ago. Just seven percent (7%) don’t share this belief. (To see survey question wording, click here).

Seventy-eight percent (78%) think Jesus was the son of God. Sixteen percent (16%) don’t believe that’s true.

Seventy-seven percent (77%) believe Jesus rose from the dead, while 16% reject the central Christian tenet of the Resurrection.

Blessings to everyone on this holy weekend!
