Joe Kennedy III Calls For End To “Cheap Oil”
Talk about being out of touch with the average voter in “flyover country,” I think Joe Kennedy III pretty much epitomizes it:
As gas prices continue to soar around the country, Joe Kennedy III, the Democratic candidate for Rep. Barney Frank’s seat, wrote an online letter to supporters calling for an end to “cheap oil.”
“Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama — they’ve all talked about the same thing: the need to wean ourselves off our debilitating dependence on foreign oil,” Kennedy wrote.
This is just another Democrat who’s probably never pumped his own gas (“Me? Pump gas? Do you know who I am? I am a Kennedy!”) and thanks to the Kennedy fortune has probably never had to worry about the price of hamburger at the local grocery store.
If Democrats want to paint Romney as out of touch this year, they’re going to have to stop making so many clearly out of touch comments themselves first.
