Democrats Not Lining Up Behind Obama In WV, NC.
Would you believe, a prison inmate in Texas is getting 40% of the vote in West Virginia?
Just how unpopular is President Obama in some parts of the country? Enough that a man in prison in Texas is getting four out of 10 votes in West Virginia’s Democratic presidential primary.
The inmate, Keith Judd, is serving time at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas for making threats at the University of New Mexico in 1999.
With 93 per cent of precincts reporting, Obama was receiving just under 60 per cent of the vote to Judd’s 40 per cent.
It should be obvious to anyone with a reasonable number of functioning brain cells that when a sitting President can only get 60% of the vote in a party primary against a prison inmate in a different state, that President has a real problem on his hands.
And, in related news, in North Carolina, Obama lost a little over 20% of the vote to “No Preference.” This is another sign that this President isn’t even exciting Democrats!
James Carville is trying to wake up an overconfident Democratic Party to the fact that they could lose this election, and this election result might just help with that. However, I’d prefer that they stay overconfident and keep making mistakes.
